Captain Jesse Napier joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2003 after five years in the United States Marine Corps. He serves as commander of Central Division. Central Division is the reception facility for all subjects brought into the county jail on criminal charges. Central booking receives over 45,000 arrestees each year. Central Division is comprised of male and female inmates living in Direct Supervision Housing pods. The Division also houses Federal Custody inmates and serves as the Commander of the Support Services Division in the Department of Detention and Corrections. The Support Services Division includes the following; Bureau Specialist Unit, Correctional Response Team, Bureau Field Training Program, Chaplains Office, Program Services, Property Section, Video Visitation, Transportation, and Pinellas Safe Harbor.
