Know any children ages 8-13 with an interest in law enforcement? There's a program for that! Discovery Day provide Pinellas County children to take a hands-on, behind-the-scenes look at the PCSO. Participants receive a welcome from Sheriff Bob Gualtieri before experiencing four education stations including vehicle displays, a modified version of the Physical Abilities Test or "P.A.T." course, a hands-on crime scene investigation experience, and the opportunity to test their skills on the Target Response Against Distracted Driving (T.R.A.D.D.) course. Program Requirements: Child must be between the ages of 8 and 13 Child must reside in Pinellas County A parent or guardian is required to attend with the child for the duration of the program The Discovery Day program is hosted twice per year in the spring and fall from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Sheriff's Administration Building located at 10750 Ulmerton Road in Largo.
