Assistant Chief Deputy David Danzig joined the Sheriff’s Office in 1996 as a patrol deputy.  During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office he has served as a patrol deputy, marine unit deputy, field training officer, burglary and pawn detective, school resource deputy, patrol sergeant, field training sergeant, administrative investigations sergeant, patrol lieutenant, Violent Crimes Task Force unit commander, administrative investigations commander, commander of the Central District Station, commander of the Investigative Operations Bureau, and commander of the Department of Detention and Corrections. 

Assistant Chief Deputy Danzig holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Leo University and he is a graduate of Leadership Pinellas Class of 2016, Class 1 of the the Florida Sheriff’s Association Commanders Academy, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Executive Development Seminar, and a graduate of 287th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.  He also has served on the Board of Directors for CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) for several years.

Assistant Chief Deputy Danzig is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Support Services Bureau, Information Technology Bureau, Judicial Operations Bureau, and the Public Records Processing Unit.
