The suspect was arrested at about 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

The suspect was arrested at his residence located at 10275 1^st Street NE in St. Petersburg.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a St. Petersburg man for Possession of Child Pornography.

According to detectives, their investigation began in July 2020 after receiving information that 54-year-old Michael Stilwill was in possession of child pornography.

Through their investigation, detectives recovered child pornography images from an electronic device belonging to Stilwill.

In an interview with detectives on November 3, 2020, Stilwill admitted to possessing and viewing child pornography.

Detectives arrested Stilwill and charged him with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Stilwill was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
