What: A Silver Alert has been issued for 77-year-old Carl Lester Byrd, of unincorporated St. Petersburg. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement immediately.
When: The man was last seen at about 10:30 p.m., on Sunday, September 27, 2020.
Where: The man was last seen a residence, located at 4212 18th Street North in St. Petersburg.
Why/How: Deputies have issued a Silver Alert for 77-year-old Carl Lester Byrd, of unincorporated St. Petersburg.
Deputies say on Sunday, September 27, 2020 around 10:30 p.m., Byrd left a family member’s residence, located at 4212 18th Street North in St. Petersburg and drove away in his 2016 Red Dodge Journey SUV bearing Florida tag # Z4LYB.
According to deputies, Byrd called his wife a few hours later at 1:30 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2020 and said he was driving home on I-275 in heavy construction. Deputies advise Byrd has been diagnosed with memory issues.
Byrd is described as a black male with an amputated left leg. Byrd is approximately 5’08” tall, 140 lbs., with gray hair and brown eyes.
Byrd has a cell phone and may be in Sarasota County.
Byrd has been entered into FCIC/NCIC as a missing endangered adult. A Silver Alert has been issued.
Anyone with information on Byrd’s whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement immediately.
