The suspect was arrested at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

Where:
The suspect was arrested at his residence in Clearwater.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Clearwater man for Possession of Child Pornography.

According to detectives, the investigation began on August 13, 2019 after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 34-year-old Jeffrey O’Kelley. Detectives recovered two images depicting child pornography from O’Kelley’s online account.

O’Kelley admitted to detectives that he owns and is responsible for the online accounts and was later charged with Possession of Child Pornography.

He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail and his booking photo is shown below.
