Detectives began their investigation in May 2017, after the Suncoast Youth Football Conference reported they had noted multiple discrepancies during a financial audit.

According to detectives, the thefts occurred between December 2016 and May 2017 and resulted in over $29,000.00 being stolen from the organization.
