Charges: One count of Robbery with a Weapon, one count of Battery, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), and one count of Possession of Marijuana.   

Suspect #1
- Described as a black male, approximately 5’10” to 5’11” tall, 180 lbs., wearing all black clothing, a black hoodie, with dark colored fabric covering his face, armed with a black colored handgun.

What:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit have arrested a man linked to the armed robbery at the JK Food Mark in Clearwater.

When:
The armed robbery occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016.

The suspect was arrested at about 11 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016.

Where:
The armed robbery occurred at the JK Food Mart convenient store located at 2468 Belleair Road, in unincorporated Clearwater.

The suspect was arrested at the Citgo gas station located at 1285 Cleveland Street in Clearwater.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit have arrested a man linked to the armed robbery at the JK Food Mark in Clearwater.

According to detectives, the suspect 22-year-old Lindsey Lavontae-Marquis Small, and suspect #1 were responsible for the armed robbery at the JK Food Mart in unincorporated Clearwater, on Monday, December 26, 2016.

Detectives say that suspect #1 held the two store clerks at gunpoint while Small went behind the check-out counter and stole cash and personal belongings. During the robbery, Small punched the female clerk in the head with his fist knocking the victim to the ground.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives obtained physical evidence that placed Small at the scene of the robbery.

On Friday, December 30, 2016, detectives located Small at a Citgo gas station in Clearwater, where he was arrested. At the time of the arrest, detectives found cocaine and marijuana in Small’s possession.

Detectives interviewed Smalls and he admitted to his participation in the armed robbery.

Small was charged with one count of Robbery with a Weapon, one count of Battery, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), and one count of Possession of Marijuana.   

Detectives are still searching for suspect #1, described as a black male, approximately 5’10” to 5’11” tall, 180 lbs., wearing all black clothing, a black hoodie, with dark colored fabric covering his face, armed with a black colored handgun.
