Attempt To Identify Found Child

*** UPDATE as of 8:30 a.m. on May 11, 2016*** Child Identified And Parents Located

The 3-year-old child found wandering in the King of the Road Mobile Home Park has been identified and the parents have been located. Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit are still conducting their investigation and speaking with parents, Detectives say that the child wandered a short distance from his residence and there is no initial indication of foul play.

The investigation continues.

What:
Pinellas deputies are requesting assistance identifying a child that was found wandering a mobile home park.

When:
The child was found at about 1:00 a.m. on May 11, 2016.

Where:
The child was wandering the King of the Road Mobile Home Park located at 5701 Haines Road in unincorporated St. Petersburg.

Why/How:
Pinellas deputies are requesting the public’s assistance identifying a child that was found wandering a mobile home park.

The child, an unidentified 3-year-old boy was found wandering the King of the Road Mobile Home Park at about 1:00 a.m. on May 11, 2016. A resident in the mobile home park found the child wearing a t-shirt and a diaper.

Deputies say that the boy appeared to be in good health but he was unable to direct them to his home.

Deputies canvassed the surrounding neighborhoods knocking on doors attempting to locate the child’s parents or guardian but have been unsuccessful.
