Law Enforcement Memorial

Who: 
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office

Attendees will include executives and staff of Pinellas County law enforcement agencies at local, state and federal levels; as well as local elected officials and members of the law enforcement community.

What:
The annual memorial remembers those in Pinellas County law enforcement who have died in the line of duty since 1905.
Speakers include Pinellas Sheriff Bob Gualtieri and State Senator Jack Latvala. Assistant Chief Deputy Sean Jowell will serve as the Master of Ceremony.

When:
The observance begins at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.

Where:
The observance will be held in front of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff’s Administration Building located at 10750 Ulmerton Road in Largo.

Why/How:
In addition to the slated speakers, the event will feature a roll-call of the 25 law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty in Pinellas County since 1905.
There will be a wreath laying at the Memorial stone, as well as “Taps,” a 21-gun salute and the traditional bagpipe rendition of “Amazing Grace” by the Scottish Highlanders Pipe Band from Dunedin High School.
