What:
Detectives assigned to the Special Victims Unit have arrested a Clearwater man for Possession of Child Pornography.

When:
The suspect was arrested at about 8:45 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016.

Where:
The suspect was arrested at his residence located at 5034 Foxbridge Circle North in Clearwater.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Special Victims Unit have arrested a Clearwater man for Possession of Child Pornography.

According to detectives, their investigation began in November 2015 after receiving information that the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Jason Sedlak, was in possession of child pornography.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to recover 20 images depicting child pornography from Sedlak’s computer. Sedlak was also found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Detectives arrested Sedlak and charged him with 20 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Possession of Marijuana less than 20 Grams, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Sedlak was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
