What:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit have arrested the suspect they say is responsible for robbing a BB&T Bank in Belleair Bluffs.

When: 
The robbery occurred at approximately 11:33 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016. The suspect was arrested at approximately 3:00 pm. on Saturday March 5, 2016.

Where:
The robbery occurred at the BB&T Bank located at 401 Indian Rocks Road, in Belleair Bluffs. The suspect was arrested at the Westin Tampa Bay Hotel located at 7627 West Courtney Campbell Causeway in Tampa.

How/Why:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit have arrested the suspect they say is responsible for robbing a BB&T Bank in Belleair Bluffs.

According to detectives, the suspect entered the BB&T Bank located at 401 Indian Rocks Road, in Belleair Bluffs, at approximately 11:33 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016.

Once inside the bank, the suspect walked up to the teller, presented a note demanding cash and implied that he had a weapon. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect fled from the bank on foot.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to positively identify the suspect as 26-year-old, Vito A. Frabizio.

Detectives searched for Frabizio and located him at the Westin Tampa Bay Hotel where he was staying as a guest.

Frabizio was arrested without incident and was transported to the Hillsborough County Jail with a $100,000 bond.

The investigation continues.
