Charges: 1 count Unlawful Sexual Activity with Certain Minors, 1 count Possession of Child Pornography and 1 count Certain Uses of Computer Services or Devices Prohibited .

The victim is currently a 17-year-old female. Per Florida Statute 119.071(2)(h)1 no further details will be released that would tend to identify the victim.

What:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a St. Petersburg man for Unlawful Sexual Activity with Certain Minors, Possession of Child Pornography and Certain Uses of Computer Services or Devices Prohibited.

When:
The suspect was arrested on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

Where:
The crime occurred at an undisclosed location in St. Petersburg.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a St. Petersburg man for one count of Unlawful Sexual Activity with Certain Minors, one count of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Sexual Performance by a Child.

According to detectives, their investigation began on June 30th, 2015 when the victim’s parents found text messages and inappropriate photographs of the suspect on the victim’s cellular phone. The victim disclosed to detectives that inappropriate sexual contact had occurred on at least five separate occasions between her and the suspect from April 2015 thru June 2015. Detectives say the suspect be-friended the victim in June 2012 on a social media website utilizing the alias name “Gabriel Zepola” and posing as a 19-year-old male. The suspect used this alias to coerce the victim to meet with him.  

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 54-year-old Glenn Aguilar


Detectives interviewed Aguilar and he admitted to the allegations. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
