The crash occurred on Interstate 275 just before the exit to 38^th Avenue North.

Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a single vehicle crash involving a deputy.

Deputy Nocera was traveling south bound on Interstate 275 in heavy rain at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2015.

Due to the inclement weather, it appears Deputy Nocera’s vehicle may have hydroplaned causing the vehicle to fishtail and strike the median guardrail barrier.

After striking the median barrier the vehicle spun around before coming to a final rest on the guardrail.

Deputy Nocera was transported via ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation continues.
