What:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/ Homicide Unit have arrested a bank robbery suspect in Palm Harbor. The suspect is linked to multiple bank robberies in Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Clearwater, Pinellas Park and Seminole.  He is also suspected of committing a bank robbery in Hernando County and one in Pasco County.

When:
The suspect was arrested on Monday, June 15, 2015 at approximately 11:37 A.M. The robberies occurred between the months of November 2014 and May 2015. 

Where:
The suspect was arrested at the Kings Inn Hotel located at 34106 U.S. Hwy 19 North, in Palm Harbor.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/ Homicide Unit have arrested the suspect for four counts of Armed Robbery.

According to Detectives, the suspect is responsible for four local bank robberies that occurred in the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction between December 9, 2014 and April 3, 2015.

Through various investigative techniques, Detectives were able to identify the bank robbery suspect as 52-year-old Anthony Maresca. Detectives located the suspect staying at the Kings Inn located at 34106 U.S. Hwy 19 North, in Palm Harbor.

Maresca was arrested and charged with four counts of Armed Robbery for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office cases.  Maresca is a suspect in two additional bank robberies that occurred in the cities of Pinellas Park and Clearwater.  He is also a suspect in two robberies that occurred in Pasco and Hernando Counties.  It is anticipated that charges will be forthcoming from those agencies.  Since March of this year the above mentioned agencies have been working together to identify and apprehend Maresca.

Maresca was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.
