Why/How:
Corporal Spencer Gross joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2005 after serving as a Pinellas Schools Police Officer in the capacity of  School Resource Officer and  Field Training Officer for seven years.

Prior to assuming his duties as PIO, Corporal Gross worked as a Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy, Community Policing Deputy and was appointed in January 2014 as Corporal of the North District Community Policing Unit.
 

Corporal Gross has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Florida State University.
