PINELLAS COUNTY – On Thursday, December 22, 2022, at approximately 11:25 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Doubles Sports Bar, located at 3301 54th Avenue North in reference to a shooting.

According to detectives, deputies located 28–year–old Clemmiesha Flowers with a single gunshot wound to the upper back. They later learned that there was a second victim, 26-year-old Fabriia Williams, who was struck in the leg. Detectives say both victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 24-year-old Dekena Talbert. Talbert fled the scene in a vehicle, which was immediately found by deputies. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and placed Talbert into custody.

Detectives learned that June Flowers and Talbert were engaged in a physical altercation at the bar due to an on-going rivalry. The physical altercation ended, however Talbert retrieved a firearm and attempted to shoot the victims. Clemmiesha Flowers positioned herself between Talbert and June and sustained a gunshot wound to the upper back.

According to detectives, as Talbert began to flee the scene in a vehicle, she fired three more rounds at Williams, striking her in the leg.

Talbert admitted to the shootings and was transported to the Pinellas County Jail. She was charged with three counts of Attempted Felony Murder.

The investigation continues.
