What:
Pinellas deputies have arrested two subjects following a home invasion and kidnapping in Oldsmar.

When:
The crimes occurred at about 9:05 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018.

Where:
The crime occurred at a private residence located at 104 Shoreview Lane, Oldsmar.

Deputies responded to a private residence located at 103 Kilsythe Street, Oldsmar.

Why/How:
According to deputies, at about 9:05 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018, the victim 27-year-old Dwayne Times was inside his home located at 104 Shoreview Lane, Oldsmar, when he heard someone enter his residence.

Deputies say three masked subjects armed with handguns confronted Times inside his home and pistol whipped him multiple times. The masked subjects demanded money and drugs.

Times gave the subjects an undisclosed amount of money before being forced against his will into the back of his 2014 Volkswagen.

Deputies say the subjects tried to leave the neighborhood in the Volkswagen but Times was able to open the car door and jump out of the moving vehicle. Times fled on foot along Kilsyhte Street and started banging on doors to homes seeking help.

The residents at 103 Kilsythe Street heard Times banging at their door and let him inside their home before calling 911.

Deputies responded to the scene and found the Volkswagen abandoned near the intersection of Kilsythe Street and Shore Drive East, with the engine running. Deputies also located a handgun on the ground near the vehicle.

K-9 deputies established a track and located 17-year-old Chrishaud Montgomery, hiding in a mucky unkept residential pool located behind a residence at 434 Country Club Drive. Shortly afterwards, K-9 deputies established a second track and located 21-year-old Quadre Brown, trying to get into a nearby residence located at 435 Country Club Drive.

Deputies believe a third unidentified suspect left the scene in an unknown vehicle.

Times was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Montgomery and Brown were arrested and transported to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center and the Pinellas County Jail.

Montgomery was charged with one count of Home Invasion Robbery and one count of Kidnapping.

Brown was charged with one count of Home Invasion Robbery, one count of Kidnapping and one count of Possession of Marijuana.

The investigation continues.
