***UPDATE as of Monday, January 29, 2018 Shooting Investigation-  Attempt to Identify Potential Witnesses****

Pinellas detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying two females who were in the company of murder victim 22-year-old Jesse De. Cairo and murder suspect 22-year-old Dale Washington, the evening of Thursday, January 25, 2018, and the early morning hours of Friday, January 26, 2018.

The two unidentified females accompanied the victim and the suspect to two different gentlemen's clubs in Pinellas County including the OZ Gentleman's Club located at 13577 U.S. Highway 19 North, in unincorporated Clearwater.

Pinellas County detectives say they have identified the suspect in this homicide investigation for the death of Jesse D. Cairo, he has been identified as 22 year-old Dale Eugene Washington. Pinellas County detectives along with the help of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office have identified, located and arrested Washington.

Investigators say through the use of various investigative techniques they located Washington in the Orlando area. Washington was taken into custody without incident by detectives during the early morning hours of Sunday January 28, 2018 at about 4:00 a.m.

Investigators say Washington was booked into the Orange County Jail by detectives and will be brought back to Pinellas County Jail to face charges.

Washington has been charged with second degree homicide for the death of 22 year-old Jesse D. Cairo.

The investigation continues.

Pinellas County detectives reported the victim 22 year-old Jesse D. Cairo has died as a result of his injuries.

Why/How:
Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 1788 Suffolk Drive, Clearwater regarding reports of gunshots heard.

Detectives say a citizen reported to deputies hearing the sound of gunshots and found a male victim at the end of the driveway.

The victim was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.  

Detectives say they do not believe there is any danger to the public.
