What:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Palm Harbor man for sexual battery on a teenager.

When:
The suspect was arrested at about 6:30 p.m. on May 15, 2016.

Where:
The incident occurred at a private residence in Pinellas County.

The suspect was arrested at the North District Station located at 737 Louden Avenue in Dunedin.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Palm Harbor man for sexual battery on a teenager.

According to detectives, their investigation began on May 15, 2016, after a witness saw 35-year-old, Jeffery Miller having inappropriate sexual activity with the teenage victim. After being confronted by the witness, Miller turned himself in at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office- North District Station.

Detectives interviewed Miller and determined that there were multiple incidents where Miller had inappropriate sexual activity with the victim. The first incident occurred in or around November 2014.

Miller was arrested at the North District Station and was charged with three counts of Sexual Battery- Familial Authority.

Miller was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.

The investigation continues.
