Mass Casualty Exercise

PINELLAS COUNTY – On Thursday, July 20, 2023, multiple Pinellas County agencies will be participating in an Active Assailant Mass Casualty Exercise. This will involve multiple law enforcement agencies, fire departments, Sunstar, Pinellas County 9-1-1, Emergency Management, EMS, and the Pinellas County School Board.

The exercise will be held at Seminole Middle School and Seminole High School. This exercise is being conducted in order to evaluate and improve our overall preparedness for an emergency event. Although this incident is not real, the response during the exercise will be practiced in a manner that is as realistic as possible.

For safety and coordination purposes, the areas that are being utilized for the exercise will be clearly marked and they will not be open to the public.

Road closures at 86th Avenue North between 131st Street and 125th Street will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. and continue into the evening. We kindly ask for your patience and support during this important exercise.
