The incident took place near in the area of 58^th Street and 54^th Avenue N. in Kenneth City.

Why/How:
Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on Friday, February 13, 2015 at approximately 7:23 p.m.

According to deputies the driver of a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling southbound on 58^th Street near 54^th Avenue North in Kenneth City when he struck a pedestrian crossing east to west on 58^th street.

The pedestrian, was not in a cross walk at the time and was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as 65-year-old Mark Ehrhardt.

The driver, identified as 40-year-old Troy Donnelly, showed signs of impairment and was arrested. Donnelly has been charged with one count of DUI manslaughter. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
