The Sheriff’s Records Division provides the public with limited record checks of Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office record management systems and Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Fees:

Florida State Statute 119 outlines the criteria of fees for public records requests. Please be advised that some material in a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office report may not be public record under the guidelines of FSS 119.07. Those elements which are not public record will be redacted before release. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office offers the first 10 pages FREE and thereafter the following charges apply:

  • Single-sided copy: $ .15
  • Two sided Copy: $ .20
  • Certified Copy: $1.00
  • Audio CD: $3.00
  • Extensive Research: Deposit required

  • Limited PCSO Records Checks:

    The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office can a conduct a limited PCSO records check of our records management systems only. For records checks maintained by other local law enforcement agencies, please contact those agencies individually.

To obtain a national criminal history check, please contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation at www.fbi.gov.

  • Incident/Offense Reports:

    Record copies of incident/offense reports filed with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office can be obtained from the Records Division; and are released according to Florida State Statute 119.00, Public Records. Chapter 119.00 outlines the criteria of what is considered as public record; therefore, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is required to release information according to the public records laws.
    Some juvenile reports are not public record without an original birth certificate and proper identification.

  • Criminal Records:

    The Seal and Expunge Process- The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) provides a service in which certain criminal records can be expunged (removed from records) or sealed (placed under highly restricted access). To learn more about this process, please visit FDLE’s website.

Concealed Weapon License:

All inquiries about concealed weapons licenses should be directed to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing. The Division is responsible for the issuance of Concealed Weapon or Firearm Licenses in accordance with Section 790.06, Florida Statutes.
