PINELLAS COUNTY - Since 1993, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office “Ride And Run With The Stars” event has given hope and help to children and families in need. We have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to meet the needs of thousands of Pinellas County children during the holidays.

“Ride and Run With The Stars” offers cycling, running and walking events, including a certified 5K road race, at Ft. DeSoto Park. There is also a silent auction, food, giveaways, children’s crafts, Sheriff’s Office displays, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The “Ride & Run With The Stars” event is Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Fort DeSoto Park in south Pinellas County. All activities will be staged at the Fort picnic area. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. with events beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration is $40 for the 5K Chipped Race, $35 for the 25 Mile Bike Ride and $25 for the 10K Family Bike Ride and 1 Mile Family Fun Run. Participants receive a bag with a long-sleeved logo t-shirt.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project. Sheriff’s Office members will shop for the items on wish lists submitted by approved applicants.
