Captain Greg Danzig joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2006 after three years with the University of South Florida Police Department. He serves as Commander of the Special Operations Division in the Patrol Operations Bureau. The Special Operations Division contains the Special Services Section and Patrol Support Section. The Special Services Section includes the DUI Unit, Airport Unit, Perimeter Unit, Safe Harbor, Community Policing, and the Major Accident Investigation Team. The Patrol Support Section includes the Flight Unit, K9 Unit, and Marine and Environmental Lands Unit. Members of the Special Operations Division support all areas of the agency and are available to assist neighboring agencies with specialized skills, training, and equipment.
