Photo of Captain Dennis Komar Captain Dennis Komar joined the sheriff's office in 1995 after two years with the Dunedin Police Department. He currently serves as the Commander of the Central District Station in the Patrol Operations Bureau. The station is responsible for law enforcement in the unincorporated areas south of SR60 and the contract cities of Seminole, Belleair Bluffs, Belleair Beach, Belleair Shores, Indian Rocks Beach, North Redington Beach, Redington Beach, Madeira Beach, St. Pete Beach, and South Pasadena. The division consists of South County Patrol and the CDS Community Policing Section. The district currently has 235 sworn members.
