PINELLAS COUNTY - On April 5, 2023, at approximately 10:50 p.m., deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded to Belcher Road and Curlew Road in Dunedin to investigate a fatal vehicle crash.

According to investigators, 18-year-old Dominic Rampi was driving a 2011 BMW 335I southbound on Belcher Road at a high rate of speed. As Rampi approached Curlew Road, the light was red, and he continued southbound at a high rate of speed through the intersection. Investigators say 75-year-old Marion Miller was driving a 2013 Dodge Charger eastbound on Curlew Road in the curb lane. As Miller entered the intersection while her light was green, she was struck in a T-Bone collision by Rampi.

As a result of the collision, the Dodge Charger struck a 2010 Mazda 3, operated by 38-year-old Rachel Worley, she was not injured.

Miller was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Next of kin was notified.

Rampi was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to investigators, speed and impairment appear to be factors in this crash. Additional charges are pending for Rampi. At the time of this release, Rampi has not yet been booked into the Pinellas County Jail.

The investigation continues.
