Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) are investigating a single vehicle roll over crash in Madeira Beach.

The crash occurred at about 7:39 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020.

The crash occurred at 13665 Gulf Boulevard in Madeira Beach.

Why/How:

According to investigators, at approximately 7:39 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, Pinellas County deputies were dispatched to a crash at 13665 Gulf Boulevard. When deputies arrived, they discovered an overturned Ford pick-up truck with 27-year-old Brandon Mason under the vehicle. Investigators say Mason was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Investigators say Mason was driving southbound on Gulf Boulevard when for unknown reasons he left the roadway and struck a palm tree in the center median. The crash resulted in the truck overturning and ejecting the driver and sole occupant, Brandon Mason.

Next of kin has been notified.
