The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will be conducting Wolf Packs continuously throughout the year.

What:
In an effort to reduce DUI related injuries and deaths, deputies and local law enforcement will join together this weekend and conduct a Wolf Pack operation in Pinellas County.

When:
The operation will begin on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. and will conclude on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Where:
Deputies and other law enforcement officers will monitor traffic throughout Pinellas County.

Why/How:
Pinellas County deputies, in conjunction with the Clearwater Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, Kenneth City Police Department, Largo Police Department, Pinellas Park Police Department, St. Petersburg Police Department, and the Tarpon Springs Police Department will join together this weekend to conduct a Wolf Pack operation in Pinellas County.

They will maintain a proactive profile over the weekend on the highly-traveled roadways of Pinellas County.

The operation will begin at 7 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020 and continue until 5 a.m., Sunday, February 23, 2020.

The operation is part of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s on-going commitment to reduce deaths, injuries and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving. The goal of the Wolf Pack is to educate people and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances.

The DUI Wolf Pack will be dedicated to Peter Chenhall. At 39-years-old, he was killed by an impaired driver on February 17, 2018 in St. Pete Beach. While Peter was on the sidewalk of Blind Pass Road, an impaired driver left the roadway and struck him. The driver left the scene and was later apprehended in St. Pete Beach. The driver was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting Wolf Packs continuously throughout the year.
