At about 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, officers were called to a residence located in St. Petersburg.

When officers arrived they found off-duty deputy, Kevin Levi, deceased in his residence.

Detectives say Deputy Levi suffered from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The death is considered a suicide.

Deputy Levi was hired by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2004, and he worked in the Patrol Operations Bureau.
