Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a single motorcycle crash in Indian Rocks Beach.

On Saturday, November 2, 2019, at approximately 3:56 a.m., 23-year-old Logan Collins was traveling eastbound on 5^th Avenue in Indian Rocks Beach, on his 2017 Harley Davidson.

As Collins approached the Indian Rocks Causeway Bridge, he struck the median side guardrail and was ejected from his motorcycle. Collins was wearing a helmet.

According to deputies, Collins called 911 and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries. 

Speed and impairment are factors in the crash.

The investigation continues.
