What:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are investigating the disappearance of Joseph Phillips.

When:
Joseph Phillips was last seen in the late afternoon to early evening hours of March 31st, 2018.

Where:
Joseph Phillips was last seen at Gandy Beach in Pinellas County on the south side of Gandy Boulevard. 

Why/How:
According to investigators, 54-year-old Joseph Phillips went to Gandy Beach with a group of friends on Saturday, March 31st, 2018.  While at the beach, Joseph lost his cell phone and was left alone with his service dog “Trouble.”  Since then, family and friends of Joseph have been unable to make contact with him or locate him.  Joseph was supposed to fly to his home state on April 6th, 2018, but never made the flight.  Joseph was last seen wearing a black shirt and a fedora.

On Sunday, April 1st, 2018, Joseph’s service dog was found running in traffic on the west end of the Gandy Bridge. 

Detectives say Joseph suffers from a medical condition which require he take medication regularly.
