Why/How:
Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri hosted a swearing-in and a promotion ceremony on Friday, May 26, 2017, recognizing 19 law enforcement deputy recruits, one detention deputy recruit,  and 13 newly promoted Sheriff’s Office members.

The ceremony started with the Sheriff administering the oath of office to the new law enforcement recruits in front of family and friends.

Promotions followed as family members and friends pinned new badges on their fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, who have just been promoted.
