Suspect Arrested In Credit Card And Check Fraud Attempt To Identify

Amber Michelle Wilkins (Arrested)
DOB: 9/11/1987 
Address: 1926 16th Avenue North, St. Petersburg
Charges: Three counts of Fraudulent Use of Credit Card, One count of Grand Theft Motor Vehicle, Three counts of Accessory After the Fact, One count Possession of Controlled Substance, and One count of Uttering a Check with Forged Endorsement.

At about 3:30 a.m. on Thursday April 13, 2017, detectives arrested, 29-year-old Amber Michelle Wilkins, for fraudulent use of credit card, uttering a check with forged endorsement at Publix and CVS stores. Wilkins was also charged with Grand Theft Motor Vehicle, Accessory After the Fact, and Possession of Controlled Substance. 

Largo Police Department and several citizen tips, helped to identify Wilkins as the suspect.

Wilkins was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.

Detectives Are Seeking The Public’s Assistance In Identifying A Credit Card And Check Fraud Suspect

The suspect is described as a white female, 20 to 30 years of age, with dark brown hair, wearing a white tank top, black sweater, and dark jeans.

What:
Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a credit card and check fraud suspect.

When
The crimes occurred on March 27, 2017.

Where:
The crimes occurred at various location in Pinellas County.

How/Why:
Detectives assigned to the Arson & Auto Theft Unit are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a Credit Card and Check Fraud suspect.

Detectives began their investigation on March 27, 2017, when the victim reported her vehicle, Bank of America Visa/debit card, and checkbook as stolen, from a residence, in Seminole. 

According to investigators, the suspect made multiple fraudulent charges with the victim's credit card and uttered one of her bank checks. The crime occurred on March 27, 2017, at approximately 3:20 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., at two separate CVS stores, located at 8905 Bryan Dairy Road in Largo, totaling $ 105.95, and at 8001 9th Street North in St. Petersburg, totaling $ 324.01.

Additionally, the suspect uttered one of the victim's bank checks at a Publix store, located at 5577 Park Street in St. Petersburg, totaling $ 138.61.

The suspect was captured on the store's surveillance video conducting these fraudulent transactions, with the victim's credit card and bank check.

The suspect is described as a white female, 20 to 30 years of age, with dark brown hair, wearing a white tank top, black sweater, and dark jeans.
