Where:
The vehicle vs motorcycle crash occurred on Park Boulevard, in front of the Seminole Lanes located at 8680 Park Blvd., in Seminole.

How/Why:
Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) investigate a crash that caused serious but non-life threatening injuries to a motorcyclist in Seminole.

According to investigators, 27-year-old Jarrod Moore was driving his 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Park Boulevard, approaching the entrance to the Seminole Lanes (bowling alley), located at 8680 Park Boulevard, in Seminole.

A 2006 Jaguar being driven by, 67-year-old Jose Fung was in the parking lot of the Seminole Lanes and pulled out to make a left turn on Park Boulevard to go west, into the path of Moore’s motorcycle.

Investigators say that Moore’s motorcycle struck the driver side rear quarter panel of Fung’s Jaguar, and Moore was ejected off his motorcycle. The impact by Moore’s motorcycle caused Fung’s Jaguar to spin 180 degrees.

Paramedics responded and transported Moore to Bayfront Medical for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Fung was not injured in the crash.

Witnesses informed investigators that Moore was driving his motorcycle at a high rate of speed just before the crash.

Investigators say impairment is not a factor in the crash, although speed was a factor.

The investigation continues.
