Charges: One count of Grand Theft.

At about 3:44 p.m. on Tuesday April 4, 2017, detectives arrested, 31-year-old Christopher Hardeman, for the theft of merchandise from a Stein Mart in Seminole.

Several citizen tips helped to identify Hardeman as the suspect.

St. Petersburg Police Dept. also closed out several retail theft cases identifying Hardeman, due to information from the original press release.

Hardeman an inmate at the Pinellas County Jail,  was charged with one count of Grand Theft.

Detectives Seek Public's Assistance in Identifying Grand Theft Suspect in Seminole

The suspect is described as a white male, early 30’s, 140-160 lbs., with a large tattoo on his left calf, wearing a white Callaway golf hat, bright orange Nike shirt, blue tennis shoes, and dark shorts.

What:                               
Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance identifying a grand theft suspect who stole approximately $2,000 worth of merchandise to include Michael Kors purses, various perfumes, and clothing items.

When:
T
he grand theft occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 15, 2017.

Where:
The incident occurred at the Stein Mart, located at 7967 113th Street North, in Seminole. 

How/Why:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance identifying a grand theft suspect who stole approximately $2,000 worth of merchandise to include Michael Kors purses, various perfumes, and clothing items.

According to detectives, the suspect walked in the store and placed various items in his shopping cart, before making his way towards the front of the store. The suspect was then observed on surveillance video walking past the cashier counter, carrying the store merchandise and setting off the security sensors as he exited the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, early 30’s, 140-160 lbs., with a large tattoo on his left calf, wearing a  white Callaway golf hat, bright orange Nike shirt, blue tennis shoes, and dark shorts.
