Detectives assigned to the Special Victims Unit have arrested a St. Petersburg man for Possession of Child Pornography.

The suspect was arrested at about 6: 30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.

Where:
The suspect was arrested at his residence located at 4565 14^th Avenue North, in unincorporated St. Petersburg.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Special Victims Unit have arrested a St. Petersburg man for Possession of Child Pornography.

According to detectives, their investigation began on October 28, 2015 after receiving information that the suspect, identified as 48-year-old David Burks, was in possession of child pornography.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to recover 10 images depicting child pornography from Burks’ computer.

Detectives arrested Burks and charged him with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Burks was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

The investigation continues.
