What:
Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) are investigating a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Madeira Beach.

When:
The crash occurred at about 7:17 p.m. on Thursday, November 26, 2015.

Where:
The crash occurred at the 134th hundred block of Gulf Boulevard in Madeira Beach.

Why/How:
According to investigators, 58-year-old Paul Richard Miller was crossing Gulf Boulevard from west to east when he was struck by the Jeep Liberty driven by 80-year-old Everett Pyle, Jr, who was traveling south on Gulf Boulevard in the curb lane.

Miller was transported to Palms of Pasadena Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Deputies say Miller was not crossing at the crosswalk when the crash occurred..

Deputies also say neither speed or alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.

Deputies say Miller was walking  home after spending Thanksgiving with family members.  

The investigation continues.
