Missing Person

Cornelia Herod was located this afternoon by the the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office and is in good condition. She has been reunited with her family.

DOB: 06/22/1935
Address: In the vicinity of Forest Lakes Boulevard South and Tampa Road, Oldsmar
Description: White female, 5’ 4” inches tall, 155 lbs., blue eyes, gray short combed back hair, last seen wearing a white striped shirt with orange horizontal stripes, and khaki pants. 

What:
Pinellas deputies are requesting the public's help to locate a missing endangered elderly woman.

When:
The woman was last seen at about 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015.

Where:
She was last seen at her residence in the vicinity of Forest Lakes Boulevard S and Tampa Road.

Why/How:
According to deputies, 80-year-old Cornelia Herod was last seen at her residence where she resides with a family member. The family member went into the backyard and when they returned to the apartment Cornelia Herod was gone.

Deputies say that Cornelia was upset earlier in the day when she mentioned to a family member that she wanted to call a taxi and go to Sarasota or catch a plane and fly to Chicago. 

Cornelia was recently diagnosed with the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease and she recently started taking medication for the medical condition.

Deputies have entered Cornelia into the NCIC/FCIC date base as a Missing Endangered Adult.

Deputies say Cornelia is about 5'4" tall and weighs about 155 pounds. She has gray short pulled back hair and she was last seen wearing a white striped shirt with orange horizontal stripes and khaki pants.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact their local law enforcement immediately.
