Arrested for Six-counts Possession of Child Pornography; Three-counts Sexual Performance with Intent to Promote.

What:
Detectives assigned to the Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit have arrested a Pinellas Park Man for Possession of Child Porn and Sexual Performance with Intent to Promote after he was discovered to have hundreds of child porn images.

According to detectives, the suspect has had contact with children through his private business where he performs for children doing puppet shows; face painting; and making balloon animals as the character “Emr the Jester.”

Detectives ask that anyone with information that may assist in this investigation to contact the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

When:
The suspect was arrested on January 20, 2014.

Where:
The suspect was arrested at his place of residence.

Why/How:
Detectives began their investigation in mid-December 2014 after receiving a tip that the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Peter Douglas Emr, was in possession of multiple child porn images.

The Special Victims Unit began their investigation, -and on January 20, 2015 served a search warrant at the home of Emr. During the execution of the search warrant, detectives took possession of multiple electronic devices belonging to the suspect.

Further forensic examination will be conducted on the items taken from the home.

Through various investigative techniques, so far the investigation has revealed in excess of 430 images depicting children as young as 3 months-old engaged in sexual acts and bondage.

Emr was arrested for Six-counts Possession of Child Pornography; Three-counts Sexual Performance with Intent to Promote. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

During the interview with detectives, Emr admitted to the crime.

The investigation continues.

Detective say Emr has performed as “Emr the Jester” at various area venues.
