The victim is a 15 year-old male who is known to the suspect. No further information will be release that would tend to identify the victim.

What:
Detectives have arrested a Seminole woman for unlawful sexual relations with a minor. Detectives say there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information that may assist in this investigation to contact the Sheriff’s Crimes Against Children Unit.

When:
The suspect was arrested on July 10, 2014.

The crime occurred on May 31, 2014.

Where:
The crime occurred at a private residence in Seminole.

Why/How:
On May 31, 2014, the suspect identified as 50-year old Julia Orca became engaged in sexual activity with a 15 year-old male. Other minors were present in the Seminole home when the crime occurred. Deputies say one of the minors who witnessed the crime became upset over the situation and became engaged in a physical altercation with the victim. Deputies responded to the altercation.

Several days later, a witness called the Sheriff’s Office and revealed why the fight had ensued. Detectives from the Crimes Against Children Unit were called to investigate.

Orca responded to the Sheriff’s Administration Building for an interview on Thursday, July 10, 2014. and she was subsequently arrested for lewd and lascivious battery on a minor. She was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

The investigation continues.

Detectives believe there may be other victims and ask that anyone with information that may assist in this investigation to contact Detective Walter Bonasoro of the Crimes Against Children Unit at 727-582-6200.
