The victim is a male under age 12 who is known to the suspect. Per FL Statute 119.071(2)(h)1 no further information will be released that would tend to identify the victim.

Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a man for sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation.

The suspect was arrested on April 29, 2013 at approximately 9:30 a.m.

The crime occurred on more than one occasion with the first incident occurring in early April 2013.

The crime occurred at a private residence in Largo.

Pinellas County Detectives have arrested a Largo man for sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation.

According to detectives, the victim child disclosed to his mother that he had been touched by the suspect in a sexual manner in early April 2013.  The child was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and the Sheriff’s Office was contacted to make a report.

Detectives made contact with the suspect, identified as 59-year-old Robert Marion Green, on Monday, April 29, 2013. Green admitted to the allegations.

The suspect was arrested and transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
