12-305 Motorcycle Operator In Critical Condition After Crash

The Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded to a two vehicle crash this morning when a motorcycle operator crashed into another vehicle.

Ana M. Clarke


Address in Pinellas Park

Operating a 2007 Suzuki GZ 250 Motorcycle.

Clarke is being treated at Bayfront Medical Center for serious injuries, and is in critical condition. She was wearing a helmet.


The other motorist was uninjured:

Ernesto Jose Torna


Address in St. Petersburg

Torna was driving a 2006 Nissan Sentra.


When:    The crash occurred just after 9:00 a.m., Sunday, January 30, 2012.

Where:   The crash occurred at the intersection of Park Street and 84th Lane, Seminole.

How/Why:     According to investigating deputies, Clarke was northbound on Park Street in the median lane, when witnesses say, she reportedly ran the red light, and crashed into Torna, who was making a left turn to go east at the same intersection.

Charges are pending further investigation, as the case remains open at this time.
