Join us on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the beautiful Fort DeSoto Park for our annual “Ride & Run With The Stars”.  The “Ride” is a holiday fundraiser to benefit families, children, and victims of crime through the Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project.

The “Ride” has become one of the largest holiday fundraisers organized by law enforcement in the Tampa Bay area.  Since 1993, the event has raised over $500,000 and assisted hundreds of families and thousands of children during the holiday season and throughout the rest of the year.

Your participation will go a long way towards making the holidays possible for those who would otherwise experience hardship and desperation.  On behalf of all of us at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, thank you for supporting our Christmas Sharing Project, and the many deserving children and families it serves.

Event Information:

What: Ride & Run With The Stars
Date: Saturday, December 1, 2012 (Rain or shine)
Place: Fort DeSoto Park, Pinellas County
Cost: The registration fee for each adult participant is $25.  Children accompanied by a registered adult are free. The registration fee includes an event long-sleeve T-shirt, food, and giveaways for event participants.
Grand Prizes: High quality bicycles.
Silent Auction: Bid on great sports gear, getaways, and gift baskets.

Event Schedule:

Registration Opens: 7:00 AM
25 Mile Bike Ride: 8:00 AM
Silent Auction: 8:00 – 10:00 AM
10K Family Ride: 8:15 AM
5K Certified Race: 8:30 AM (Best times for runners in designated age groups will be recognized.)
1 Mile Fun Walk/Skate: 8:45 AM
Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Elf Arrive: 10:00 AM
Special Drawings & Presentations: 10:15 AM

Climbing Wall:  For all ages.  Test your skills on the 25 foot “Everest Challenge” climbing wall.
Proceeds:  “Ride & Run With The Stars” proceeds benefit the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project, which helps crime victims, children, and families through the holidays.
