13-045 Pinellas Detectives Seek The Public’s Assistance Identifying Two Women Who Scammed A Senior Citizen Out Of $18,000

-Hispanic female, approx 25-30 years old
-5’3″, 170lbs with green eyes
-At the time of the incident, she was wearing a multi colored flowered blouse and blue jeans.

Suspect #2
-Hispanic female, approx 25-30 years old
-long dark brown, straight hair and brown eyes
-At the time of the incident, she was wearing a black and white striped shirt and dark pants.

What:  Pinellas County Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying two suspects who scammed a senior citizen out of $18,000.

When:  The incident took place on 2/27/13 at approximately 12:30 p.m.

How/Why:  

Pinellas County Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying two female suspects who scammed a senior citizen out of $18,000.

The incident took place on Wednesday, 2/27/13 at approximately 12:30 p.m. 

The two female suspects approached the victim in a Walmart parking lot at 1111 North Missouri Avenue in Largo.  A conversation ensued about the two suspects desire to obtain American citizenship.  Both claimed they needed $60,000 for various documents in order to obtain citizenship and asked the victim for help.

Wanting to assist the suspects, the victim drove them to a nearby bank and withdrew $18,000 which was eventually provided to the suspects.

Once the suspects had the victim’s money, they fabricated a story and left the area.
