This service is provided for free and no appointment is necessary.
Residents interested in having fingerprints taken (at the request of the potential employer) must bring with him/her the fingerprint card provided by the prospective employer. The PCSO does not provide these cards. Do not sign this card in advance and be sure to use black ink when filling out the card. You will also need to bring a photo ID.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office does not provide this service for immigration and naturalization purposes. You need to contact the Department of Immigration and Naturalization to find out where to get your fingerprints taken.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office does provide electronic fingerprinting for pistol licenses. The service is provided free of charge but the required fees for the license must be paid by credit card online. More information will be provided to you when you get your fingerprints taken.
We are located across the street from the Criminal Courts Complex in the Technical Services Building at 4801 145th Avenue, Clearwater, FL. We are off 49th Street between the south end of the Bay Side Bridge and Ulmerton Road. 145th Avenue is near the new Bay Side High School, which is one block north of the traffic light at the Criminal Courts Complex.
