Currently, Sheriff’s Office law enforcement deputies, sergeants and lieutenants are represented by Pinellas Lodge 43, Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), which acts as the official representative and bargaining agent for all employees in these ranks. In accordance with state law, which mandates that supervisory personnel be in a separate bargaining unit, deputies are in one unit and sergeants and lieutenants are in another.
