The Florida Crime Prevention Association has recognized the Pinellas County Sheriff's "Live Safe" program as the Outstanding Crime Prevention Program of the Year (2006).

"Live Safe" educates parents and child caregivers about how to recognize the tactics sexual offenders and predators may use to befriend them in order to gain access to their children. 90% of sex offenders gain access to their victim through those adults who are the parents, caregivers, or relatives of the targeted youngsters. This program is for adults, as it teaches them about the warning signs, the lures, and the techniques used by these perpetrators to obtain the confidence of the adults in order to gain access to the children. The adults then take this knowledge back to their homes to work together with their family members to develop a safety program that is reinforced on a continuing basis. The "Bus Stop Buddy" program, which was designed to keep children safe at bus stops, was also initiated as an outgrowth of "Live Safe".

Since the formal start of the program in 2005, "Live Safe" has been presented to 10,000 adults in Pinellas County through 180 separate programs. "Live Safe" has received the endorsement of the Pinellas county council of Parent Teachers Associations and other community groups.

LIVE SAFE Child Sexual Abuse and Abduction Prevention -
Since most sexual predators or offenders gain access to their victims through the parents, it was befitting to have a program teaching parents how to keep their children safe. Learn the lures and cons perpetrators are using against you to get to your children. Learn to teach your children to recognize and react if faced with a dangerous situation. Book your own seminar or attend one in your area. What you learn from our seminar will benefit you and your children for the rest of your lives

LIVE SAFE Personal Safety -
This program instructs adults how to minimize their victimization while out and about, at work, and in their own homes. Most perpetrators give off warning signs of their ill intentions; using lures and cons that fit the victim, so to speak. Have a plan, your would be attacker already does.
