What:  Ross was exiting a parking lot of a strip shopping center at 9685 Bay Pines Blvd., heading eastbound when his vehicle was struck by Fehl on his motorcycle heading westbound.

Where:  9685 Bay Pines Blvd., Seminole area.

When:  The crash occurred at around 10:00 p.m., Sunday night, November 20, 2011.


***Update Begins (At 10:20 a.m. on 11/30/2011)***

M.A.I.T. deputies have avised that the motorcyclist involved in the crash on November 20th, 2011 has died as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.

James G. Fehl was pronounced deceased at 1:21 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Bayfront Medical Center.

The investigation continues.

Ross was exiting the parking lot – as he was going home after work.

Deputies with the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded to the crash. They say that Fehl was westbound on Bay Pines. They are still trying to establish where Fehl had come from and where he was headed.

When the crash occurred, Fehl was ejected from his motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet. Deputies say bystanders rushed to assist Fehl, and initiated CPR until paramedics arrived. 

Fehl was taken by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center, where he is in very serious condition with life threatening injuries. 

As yet, no one has been charged in this case – the investigation continues.
