Two Vehicle Crash Under Investigation

Vehicle #1 – a 2002 Chrysler Sebring
Driver: Raina Brown 11/21/82
Backseat Passengers: Boyfriend – Joshua Williams, 8/28/81 and their infant son, Aiden Williams, 3 months, in a child safety seat

Vehicle #2 – a 2007 Infinity QZ56
Driver: Akaterina Sines, 1/21/70
Passengers: Her three children, ages 7-12, names not available

What:  The 2007 Infinity driven by Sines rear-ended the 2002 Sebring driven by Brown as Brown was waiting in a line of traffic heading eastbound on Tampa Rd., just west of the intersection with Forest Lakes Blvd.

Joshua Wlliams suffered very serious injuries and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, where he is in critical condition. His son, three month old Aiden, is also being treated for injuries, but his outcome is reportedly favorable. The infant’s mother, Brown, was not injured.

The driver of the Infinity, Sines, received minor bruising. The children in that vehicle were not injured.

Where:  The rear-end crash occurred as Brown was waiting in traffic in  the eastbound center lane of Tampa Rd. – just west of the intersection with Forest Lakes Blvd.

When:  The crash occurred at about 8:37 a.m.

How/Why: Preliminarily, deputies say that alcohol and excessive speed appear not to be factors in this crash.

The affected roadways were closed for 3 1/2 hours during the investigation at the scene.

The investigation continues. No charges identified as yet.�
